Immediately after the hurricanes Katrina and Ivan NorthStar was still a brand new congregation.  We did not see this as an obstacle when God called us to respond.  NorthStar sent many volunteers to help in Louisiana and Mississippi in the months after the devastation. 

 

In addition NorthStar and the Silver Lakes Baptist Association maintain a disaster response shower trailer to be used in cooperation with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief efforts and other emergency services.  We have a growing number of trained volunteers that are ready to respond to disasters in North America and around the world.
